How does it work?
Teosyal Redensity I and Belotero Revive are both injectable skin boosters designed to improve skin quality through deep hydration and dermal revitalisation, but they work in slightly different ways due to their formulations. Redensity I works by delivering a combination of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid along with a unique blend of amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals directly into the skin. This not only hydrates but also promotes collagen production and overall skin regeneration. Belotero Revive, on the other hand, uses a patented CPM (Cohesive Polydensified Matrix) hyaluronic acid combined with glycerol to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and firmness while smoothing fine lines and enhancing skin texture.
How many treatments are needed?
In terms of treatment protocols, both products typically require an initial course of three treatments spaced about 3–4 weeks apart, depending on individual skin condition and the nurse’s assessment. Some patients may see visible improvements after just one session, but optimal results are generally achieved after the full course. Maintenance treatments are usually recommended every 4 to 6 months to preserve the results.
What are the risks?
As with any injectable treatment, there are some risks involved. Common side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness at the injection sites, which usually resolve within a few days. More serious risks such as allergic reactions, infections, or vascular complications are rare but possible. Choosing a qualified practitioner significantly reduces these risks and ensures a safer, more effective outcome.
